displayed toughness and leadership while running the offense for San Jose Prep. The quick and shifty guard played the full 32 minutes in the semifinal defeat, finishing with 18 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals. She consistently attacked the defense, drawing fouls while also creating opportunities for teammates. Even against one of the most complete teams in the state, Most’s aggressiveness and playmaking ability helped keep her team competitive throughout the game. No one could stay in front of Most -even when the engine was operating on “fumes.” She was undoubtedly the “Most” skilled ball handler I’ve seen in the building the past two weeks. One play that comes to mind was a second-half play – she takes an inbound pass, and the defense forces her left. Nearly every guard in the entire tournament would have reversed the ball with a pass and eventually chased it down to run the offense, but not

. She dribbles past the pressure with her left hand running full speed, makes bee-line for the rim, and at the last minute she throws a dime to her teammate for a layup. At the time, I was sitting with a college coach who recognized the difficulty and beauty of the execution. That one play defined Most’s ability and removed her from under the radar. Her play was inspiring and productive – worthy of all tournament recognition.

Lena brings a strong combination of speed, ball handling, and basketball IQ. Her court vision and ability to anticipate the game are fun to watch. She excels in transition, but also in the half court where she can get to the rim with a variety of moves while also finding teammates for easy looks. As a true two way guard, her scoring, playmaking, and defensive effort make her one of the most impactful players on the floor in Class 2A.

caught my attention in the preseason, and I’m still glued to the television. The senior guard is must-see excitement. Most has the speed, athleticism, ball handling, change of direction, and the basketball IQ – all combined with flair and a lot of substance. Her ability to see the floor and anticipate is on another level than most high school players. Most scored 16 and controlled the tempo and pace of the game to lead the upset over Providence – a team that was looking to return to the Final 4 for the third consecutive year. Most and the company will now play on the big stage at UNF- the show continues.

delivered a true leader’s performance. Even while facing a deeper opponent, she continued to compete possession after possession and never stop competing on both ends of the floor. Most brought her best from start to finish and stayed engaged throughout the game when many players would mentally check out. Her consistency and fight are traits that define her leadership and mental toughness. Most showed some of the best handles in the city allowing her to get to the rim almost at will. She excelled in transition, in the half court game, and on the defensive end.

was a true two-way impact player, but what stood out most was her court vision and passing ability. Against Bolles, she was consistently finding teammates in stride and creating advantages with her feel for the game. Off the bounce, she showed the ability to get to the rim using hesitation moves and change of pace, and she was very productive in transition — not just as a finisher, but as a distributor to her teammates. Her blend of scoring pressure, playmaking, and defensive effort made her one of the most complete performers in the gym.

was everywhere in the first half. She scored in multiple ways, including knocking down a three from the top of the key, and consistently created opportunities for teammates with her excellent court vision. She turned defense into offense with steals, finished strong in transition, and capped it with a tough spin move in the paint for a bucket. A complete, high-IQ performance.

Most had another great showing for San Jose Prep, who is a completely different team (going 2-0 this weekend) with her running the show. Most is a pass-first point guard who held a masterclass in getting players the ball where they can score effectively . Lena has great vision and she gets the ball there with a quick flick of the wrist. She was very efficient scoring the ball as well. Most shot the ball very well from the perimeter and midrange. Lena is an active defender who created turnovers and scored on the break multiple times as well.

is a point guard who makes all the decisions on the floor, and she does it with pace and control. Her ball handling is next level, keeping defenders off balance, and she can also shoot the ball and deliver precision passes, making her difficult to slow down on any given night. She impacts the game in multiple ways.
Defensively, she forces turnovers and quickly turns defense into offense. With her running the show, her impact can lead to victory, and she has the potential to be the MVP of this game. She’s a double-double threat every time she steps on the court.

Lena Most delivered one of the most complete guard performances of the entire preseason. Shifty, skilled, and confident, she repeatedly broke down defenders with a quick crossover and explosive first step, getting to the rim whenever she wanted. She’s crafty at the point of attack and finished through traffic with control and touch. Her jumper was smooth, especially from the top of the key, and she scored at all three levels. In the half court, she operated the pick-and-roll with maturity, keeping defenders guessing with her pacing and handles. She was equally impressive on the defensive end with her ability to prevent defenders from getting pass her and her multiple deflections that led to steals. What really separated her was her athleticism and ball IQ. Most was the most polished scorer in the building.
