This past season with the Lady Mets, Magsby eclipsed 1,000 career points, which is no surprise with some of her big performances, like the one against Fountain Lake, where she had 29 points and 7 rebounds. She was even better versus Bauxite, hauling in 18 rebounds to go along with her 25 points and 3 steals.

So far this summer, Magsby picked up where she left off during the high school season. In mid-April at the Clash of Clubs, Magsby had 8 points and 10 boards against Texas Crush E40. During the first live period, she averaged 7.6 points and 10 boards a night.

ESTEM has several talented players, and Simya Magsby Simya Magsby 5'9" | C/PF ESTEM | 2027 State AR has proven that she is one of them since she exploded onto the scene in 2024/25. Now she is flying up the ranks, moving up 28 spots.

Magsby was feasting around Thanksgiving, giving Russellville a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double in a close victory. Double-doubles are commonplace for Magsby, as she is a dominant rebounder, despite her 5’9″ frame.

Magsby plays with so much energy and aggression inside, no one can handle her. She scores many of her points off putbacks, but she can actually bring the ball up the floor herself and go coast-to-coast. She has also shown that she has a 3-point shot that deserves respect from the defense.

Magsby played physically all night long, posting 12 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. She was tasked with bringing the ball up the floor, even as a center, and she looked comfortable in that position. Though her natural spot is in the paint, she looked at home shooting threes, which caused the defense to scramble.

Magsby was rebounding well against a team that had every advantage height-wise. However, they could not handle her strength, and she could out-muscle and out-maneuver her matchups.

This was a tough matchup for Simya Magsby Simya Magsby 5'9" | C/PF ESTEM | 2027 State AR , but I think that is good for her, as she will see plenty of talented front courts this season, and she will come into those games even scarier than before.

Estem’s star had a resounding 27-point, 21-rebound performance in a win over Mount Vernon-Enola on the 21st. Scoring-wise, she did most of her damage in the paint, and she scored more than half of her points in the second half, including putting up 10 in the fourth quarter. Not only was her scoring consistent and overwhelming for the other team, it was clutch.

Also, 21 rebounds! Magsby could not be stopped on the glass, which was the same as in Estem’s matchup with Greers Ferry Westside the game before, where she had 10 rebounds to go along with her 15 points and 2 steals.

In that game against the reigning 1A state champs, Magsby scored at least 8 of her points off offensive rebounds, and she played with physicality and active hands.

Magsby can make plays on both sides of the ball, rebound on both ends, and score however she wants to. One of her performances from last season that solidified that was against Fountain Lake, where she put up 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.

Magsby is hard to guard in the paint, as her strength allows her to back her defenders down in the post and score at will under the basket. On the offensive glass, she can put her shot back up and in. On the defensive glass, she can grab every board and immediately get it to a guard to start the break.
