Expert Analysis
Quinton Swader | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Soleil comes off a competitive travel season with Southeast United . Last year, Dejesus led her high school team, Excel Christian Academy, in points per game (24.7), steals per game (2.5), and had three games where she scored 40 points, showcasing her ability to score in high volumes. Soleil also led her team to the CFAC Championship and earned honors as the FACA Player of the Year in the Independent Division.
This season, Soleil is taking her talents to 7A Haines City High, along with a few other notable transfers. Haines City finished last season with a 17-7 record and a first-round state playoff loss. Soleil has the ability to play both point guard and off the ball. She’s a threat in transition, lightning-fast with the ball in her hands, and loves to draw contact for the “And 1.”
Dejesus is also a two-way player who will guard the opposing team’s best player all 84 feet. Soleil fits perfectly with Haines City’s fast and athletic style of play, making it likely she will have little adjustment and will be a scoring threat from day one. Making Haines city a threat for a deep 7A state championship run
