Sophi remains at the top spot! Hutchison had one of the best high school careers and she will go down as one of the greats at Spring Valley! Sophi’s career stats: 17.5 points per game, 5 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 6 steals per game! Hutchison is the all-time career points leader, the all-time career assist leader, and the all-time career steals leader. She is the record breaker that every coach would love to have! She heads to a D1 school for a reason. La Salle is getting a great one!

What more can we say about Hutchison? The senior guard continues to shine. Sophi recently set the all-time tournament steals record at the Andrew Johnson Bank Ladies’ Classic in TN. She picked up 29 steals during the tournament. Records are made to be broken, and Hutchison continues to do so. Despite the 2-point loss to George Washington, Sophi and Spring Valley continue to bounce back! This senior leader is finishing off an elite high school basketball career. La Salle University is getting a great one!

On 7/15/25, Sophi posted that she was 110% committed to La Salle! We have spoken about Hutchison numerous times and she has remained at the top of our 2026 rankings. She holds the number 1 spot in the state of WV for a reason. Sophi will have her team ready to compete for another state championship before heading to Philadelphia. Keep your eyes on this one as she heads to the Atlantic 10 conference!

This kid is taking her talents to La Salle University. On 7/15, she announced on twitter (X) that she was 110% committed. Sophi had an amazing summer of basketball on every court she played on. She is the guard that can run your offense at the next level efficiently and consistently. She has one of the highest basketball IQ’s, and she is ready for the next level. She has great court awareness and her instincts are unmatched. She’s a vet on both ends of the court and it shows! Senior year is officially loading!

Sophi continues to do what Sophi does! She continues to be recognized by numerous outlets as a standout player! Hutchison picked up offers from North Alabama, & Radford. She continues to add to her bag! I love her ability to take over any game. If you want an athlete with the highest IQ, you want Hutchison. Sophi continues to be a leader, and she is going to excel at the next level.

Sophi is a natural leader. She continues to lead her grassroots team to wins! She does an excellent job protecting the ball. She has the mamba mentality! She continues to show that she is fearless. She is never afraid of the moment. She’s resilient, and mentally tough. Hutchison has an outstanding work ethic. I was not surprised when I saw the highlight of her getting open, and knocking down the game winner for Team Thrill! In the big moments, you can count on Sophi. She is a standout on every court she plays on!

In 24 minutes of action, Hutchinson was exceptional! She’s a savvy guard that puts her team in great positions. She continues to get stops consistently on defense. She’s lethal with the ball in her hands! Sophi finished the game with 22 points on 9-15 from the floor! She added 8 steals and 2 assists in the win over Spring Mills!

During the regular season with 20 games played, Hutchinson averaged 15.2 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, & 6 steals per game! Sophi was spectacular in leading her team to a 68-43 win over Parkersburg South! The junior poured in 19 points, and added 10 steals, & 6 assists. Hutchinson continues to shine in whatever situation she is in. She continues to do whatever it takes to win. She’s an extremely unselfish player, but she knows how and when she needs to take over a game. She’s the guard that can score in numerous ways from anywhere on the court. Yes, she’s a 3 level scorer and a great defender that can lead her team to a state championship!

Sophi walked in the gymnasium in Tennessee and proved once again that she can compete with any one in any state! Hutchinson can score in numerous ways! She does a great job getting to the rim and knocking down outside shots. She’s a solid facilitator. Hutchinson poured in 24 points. She also added 6 assists, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds in the win over Daniel Boone!
