McCullough, a 6’0 PF, is a physically gifted individual, that understands her own ability and the ability of those around her. With her natural size and strength, it’s usually tough for team’s to single cover the painted area against Manson. Most of the time, it’ll be an easy bucket if that’s the case so they tend to bring more help when possible. I’m not sure where McCullough will end up for college but she has options at this time. As long as she continues to show her worth, she should be happy with how things end up.

McCullough is a Power Forward, that has an impressive mixture of size, touch, balance, and coordination. She can be used next to the hoop with her back to the basket or she can screen at the three point line and be moved around from that situation. There are several D3 coaches interested in McCullough and for good reason. She should have 5-10 offers by the time she makes a choice as to her college career this Fall. She is good enough to take the floor and make an impact almost immediately in one way or another depending where at. She just needs to find the right fit for herself and the rest will be history from there.

A prospect that we are going to hear about quite a lot moving forward is someone that would be considered a hidden gem in the 2025 Class in Iowa and that is Sophia McCullough. McCullough checks off a lot of boxes that college coaches look at while recruiting a future prospect. She is a player with better than average size at 6’0, she moves well from inside to outside the lane depending on her team’s offense, she can defend multiple positions, and she is coordination with great balance and a soft touch on the basketball near the paint. She may play for some smaller programs but I’m sure she is going to make an impact at the next level. Throughout these past few months, she has received offers from Simpson, Buena Vista, and Loras with interest from several others. I know she has some visits coming up so it’ll be interesting to see who lands her. Whoever it is, they are getting someone who could be a breakout producer at the next level.
