Sophia is a versatile talent for the MA Huskies. She is strong at getting to the basket, rebounding, and defending. On offense she is a threat looking to score, attack and/or run in transition. On defense she limits opponents to one possession by securing boards and is able to switch and play multiple positions.

Sophia will be playing for the Mass Huskies on the 17U EYCL circuit this season and brings a physical presence to the court. She’s a strong finisher around the rim, using her frame to power through defenders on drives. She gets to her spots effectively and knocks down shots at a high rate, including from beyond the arc. She also does a great job of collapsing the defense and kicking out to open shooters.

Webb outplayed expectations set around her to start the school season and she’s likely a breakout-watch candidate in AAU. She’s a matchup nightmare that can lean into whatever gives her the advantage. Sophia is either too agile for bigs or too strong for wings and this’ll be on full display as local play kicks off this weekend.

Webb’s crafty creation skills and unorthodox takes make it hard for players to contain her. The advantages she brings playing both forward positions give opponents constant trouble if they aren’t prepared. Over the last couple of games this has been on display as Sophia isn’t just settling, rather asserting herself from the 3 as well as within those tricky midrange to close-range areas.

Webb has been impressive this season and she’s kept the momentum going coming back from the break. In a recent game against Winchendon, the Marianapolis forward was feasting. Sophia was a matchup nightmare, capitalizing on ideal shot opportunities, keeping possessions alive with timely boards and creating some off the bounce. Webb finished with 19 pts, 14 reb, 4 ast plus 2 stl.

Sophia had a standout showing at the Nickerson Showcase and is a name to watch as the season progresses. She stays calm under pressure, not letting defenses dictate her pace while finishing well with either hand around the basket, creates turnovers with her defensive anticipation, and consistently sees the floor to set up her teammates in scoring positions, making her a complete two-way player.

Webb was difficult to keep off the offensive glass with a few of her points coming from direct putbacks after securing the board. She was also able to push transition and put pressure on St. Andrew’s to get back. Not only that, but Sophia hit a couple 3-pointers from her sweet spots on the wing that were nothing but net. It was Sophia’s presence late in the game that really brought a spark to the team. Throughout the game she remained a vital component to getting the win by providing solid defense and making key shots.

Webb is a definite stock riser early into this season. She’s playing much freely and her confidence level is soaring. Sophia is looking quite fluid, particularly on the wing, where she’s been getting a lot more opportunities. Her 16 pts plus 7 reb were crucial in Marianapolis’ hard-fought effort to get the win over GFA. Webb’s ability to be a versatile weapon inside and out is what makes her such an intriguing prospect to watch.

Sophia is a two-way frontcourt player. On offense, she can score the three, attack off the dribble, and rebound strong. She’s active and versatile. Defensively she stands out — able to guard multiple positions, protect the paint, get deflections and steals, and turn those stops into offense. Sophia has an offer from UNH and will be a prospect to keep an eye on.
