About Sophie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Naturally a shooting guard, working toward becoming an all around player. I’m a good shooter, and I’m also working on being more aggressive around the rim. Most important, I want to be a good teammate and I want to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hard worker and competitive, willing to put in the work. Very coachable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a striker and a goalie for my high school soccer team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Good at learning from others and willingness to listen. I’ve gained good leadership qualities and learned to speak up both in and out of games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was cut from my volleyball team the beginning of my freshman year after playing the majority of my life. I made it to the final round of cuts but didn’t make the final team.

What type of college are you looking for?

Too early to tell, I’m open-minded to anything.
