DeSalvo has a great inside-outside game. She is lethal from beyond the arc, and you absolutely cannot leave her open from outside, because she will drain the look, especially off the catch.

When it comes to finishing in the paint, one thing that is evident immediately is that this freshman is more than capable of finishing with either hand, even through contact. She uses her length and athleticism to shoot over the defense in the post, and she does not seem to be bothered by heavy contests.

A very smooth combo guard that was a pleasure to watch in person. Stella took off AAU this summer to focus on her game as she headed into her freshman season at the High School level. The hard work has paid off showing a very strong complete skill set. A shooter in all 3 phases: outside jumper, mid-range jumper and the pull up jumper off the dribble. Impressive was the vision that she plays with. You can see the eye scanning the floor reading the defense before making the pass.

Nice transition decisions lead to easy scoring opportunities for her teammate and herself. Good rebounding guard that did not mind getting in the mix for the board. Great size for a guard that can play either the point or shooting spot. Keep an eye on this young lady, she can hoop.

A combo guard from Arkansas that excited to see for the first time play in person at the Showcase. Film study shows a shooter that moves great without the ball finding the open gaps to spot up in. Nice patience on the drives finishing with a pull up or fi=finishing with a layup. Looking forward to watching her play at the showcase.

Mount St. Mary’s has not had a tremendous amount of success recently in the 5A Central, but with the addition of Stella DeSalvo Stella DeSalvo 5'8" | SG/PG Mount St Mary | 2029 State AR , they may surprise a lot of people.

Even in middle school, it was clear that DeSalvo was perhaps the best player on every court she stepped on. Now, in a tough conference, she will have to prove she belongs.

DeSalvo is a great outside shooter who is not bothered by defensive closeouts. She hits contested jumpers about as efficiently as wide-open ones. She is just as solid when she is attacking the basket. If there is a lane open, DeSalvo will exploit it, finding a way to score down low. The guard has also showcased her craftiness, having the step-through and euro-step moves down pat.

Stella DeSalvo Stella DeSalvo 5'8" | SG/PG Mount St Mary | 2029 State AR is a great scoring guard who I believe will be able to transition seamlessly to high school basketball. Keep an eye on DeSalvo and the rest of her squad, who have a chance to be successful next season.
