Unlike Mt. Vernon in Fortville, Mt. Vernon in Posey County is not known as much of a successful girls’ basketball program. But the 2025-2026 season offered a great deal of hope for the future, and Stella was a huge part of it. She is yet another long and wiry guard, she moves around the floor almost effortlessly, and she has a little bounce to her. She is a talented multisport athlete for the Wildcats, in fact. Stella averaged 11.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 steals per game. She has a chance to be a really good prospect long-term.

The Mount Vernon in Southwest, Indiana, hasn’t had a strong run of late in girls’ basketball, but Stella and a few of her classmates are trying to rectify that moving forward. Stella is an extremely long, wiry, playmaking guard who can do a little of everything for the Lady Wildcats. She has proven she can score it off the bounce and at the free throw line, she can create for teammates, and she uses her length well at the defensive end of the floor to create steals/deflections. As she improves her perimeter jumper, watch out! Stella is averaging 11.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 3.6 steals per game for the rapidly improving Wildcats.
