About Stella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a physically strong post presence and good footwork. I am able to finish with either hand, read rebounds well, and capitalize on put-backs. I have a high basketball IQ with solid court vision to find shooters when double-teamed, handle the ball in transition, and can knock down threes. Defensively, I'm able to guard at the perimeter and I block shots in the paint.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard-working, team-first player with a no-lose mentality. I will do whatever I can to secure a win and make sure my best self is always shown on and off the court. I tend to take on a leadership role and love to encourage others and push everyone to be their best selves for the best team outcome.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am vice-president of Student Athletes for Mental Health Club, Officer for Women's Student Union, and an active member of Christian Student Union, Medical Club, Peer Helpers Club, LAB (Upper School Leadership organization), and Community Service Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I have developed the ability to communicate both on and off the court and help bring people together in pursuit of common goals. I have been told that I am a natural leader, while remaining very coachable.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In the fall of 2023, before my freshman season, I suffered an ACL tear that set me out of basketball for 12 months. It caused me to suffer mentally and physically as I fought back to become medically eligible before my 10th grade season. I then earned the honors of All-Conference, All-District, and District Player of the Year.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to continue my academic challenges at a quality university that will also enable me to continue the sport that I love.
