Booker T Washington locked up their District Title and are set for another potential Class 5A State Tournament run. Daniels has been a spark plug for the Lady Hornets look to keep their strong tradition going. A performance last month against Norman highlights the combination of motor and unselfish play that makes her a promising PG prospect. Quickness and attention to detail on defense allow to forces steals and even close out and block an opposing guard’s three pointer jumper. She then was consistently unselfish, handing out multiple assists. From transition passes to making the right reads in the halfcourt to keep the offense flowing.

Rising sophomore, who was a key part of an early January pivotal district win over Coweta. Quick and engaged on defense, leading to helpside disruptive plays abd steals. Similar principles also helped her corral more than her fair share of offensive rebounds. Had some keys scores in the win, with a buzzer beater to end the third. Along with a good take and finish for an “And 1”.
Was also impressed with the on ball charge she took against one of the top junior guards in the 918. Will get a chance to check out Daniels and her Lady Hornets team in person tomorrow when they play Millwood.

Look for Daniels to step into a bigger role for the 5A contending Lady Hornets. Her quickness and tenacity as an on the ball defender will make her a handful on defense. She plays defense with her feet, capable of applying full court pressure that makes opposition have to turn multiple times while bringing it up. Also works hard off the ball in the halfcourt too. Daniels is fundamental sound on the defensive end, but can gamble and pick pockets for steals. A hustling Daniels this winter should be an energy spark for BTW.

A guard that made my notes in every station drill and then carried into full court action. In the ball handling stations the crossovers were tight and low. I was sold on the move and she used the same move in game play when wanting to attack the gaps. Good footwork in the 3-point shooting stations as the legs were set, hand under the ball and a picture-perfect follow through. When on the 1 on 1 on the low post she showed some craftiness in using up/under to avoid the bock shot.
I enjoyed watching her work in the camp as she caught my colleague eye just the weekend before. The most impressive aspect that I enjoyed watching was when she decides to turn the corner. It is a shift in lowering the body and burst when hitting that gap. A 2028 guard that will have a outstanding sophomore season.

Every time Daniels checked into the game, it felt like she was right in the mix with pressure on the ball defense. The energy she exerted on defense eventually paid off with a couple nice scores late. Including a sweet euro step on a drive. Good signs of competitiveness as the athletic guard founds ways to contribute while playing up an age group.

Tenacious at attacking the rim, has three-point range. Even in a showcase setting that wasn’t being tightly called, got to the free-throw line more than any player I saw at camp. Should be getting an extra 6-8 points a night from the stripe. Shoots great off the catch. Although

was the quickest player I saw on Saturday, Daniels and Woodson made for a speedy combination that was too hard for the other teams to collectively match.
