How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m constantly trying to anticipate my next move & see the court with my teammates. I like to be in the moment & play fast.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very easy going & tend to look at things from a positive point of view. If I make a mistake I’m able to feel it in the moment then move on quickly without letting it effect me for too long.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I lifeguard and teach swim lessons to younger kids. In addition to basketball I swim and play soccer. I’ve participated in Special Olympics events & belong to MG Project Unify at school. I also started The ASL Club at MG this year with two friends.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through working with younger kids through swim, soccer & basketball I’ve learned to handle different types of emotions and personality styles. I’ve also learned patience & how to not sweat the small stuff.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My father is not actively involved in my life. My sister & I were raised by our then single mom. I learned how to overcome that disappointment growing up. My mom & her wife, my now stepmom, have shown me what it looks like to be in a loving family that looks like ours.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m undecided currently with what I’d like to major in. I’m looking for a college that has a campus feel to it where the student to teacher relationship is present. I’m also looking for a supportive athletic & academic environment.
