Arnold certainly embodies the mantra, “heart over height”. The energy and confidence she plays with is so infectious. In this championship matchup Taelor showed up as one of the better players on the entire floor. She was a dependable option from her spots and ended up scoring 11 pts. What a successful year for the junior transfer.

Arnold’s hustle and pure drive alone will make her one of the players to focus on in this game. Her fiery competitiveness will pose a serious threat despite her smaller stature. Worcester should gameplan for Taelor’s timey plays on both ends of the floor, they could really be the difference in this one.

Taelor has been making a difference all season long, but watching her in her recent matchup vs Worcester, she was one of the best players on the entire floor. Her 17 pts, 3 ast, 8 reb plus 4 stl were very influential in this one. The junior guard can explode in any game. What’s impressive about her is she seems to be up for any challenge, competing at a high-level no matter who’s in front of her. She definitely embodies “heart over height”. Last year, Arnold garnered attention from serval scholarship level schools and whatever program gets her will be happy at the end of the day.

Don’t underestimate Arnold because of her smaller stature. Coach Streeter has brought in a tough-nosed and feisty 2-way point that’s ready to leave her imprint. Arnold can knock down 3s off the dribble or in spot-up scenarios. Her quickness is a key attribute on both sides of the ball. The hustle Taelor shows is such a positive, especially on defense. She’s a real playmaker that’ll find a way to affect a game no matter what.

Arnold packs a big punch and was an instant impact player over the weekend. Her innate creation ability makes different levels of the defense react swiftly to her moves. This just opens things up for teammates as her progressions advance. She has a large tool bag with so many counters for strict defenders that want to crowd her.

Don’t be misguided by Arnold’s height, Ethel Walker’s All-Star talent has such a big game. The foundation is certainly predicated on change of heights/speeds, ball control, reaction time and decisive playmaking. Taelor’s eyes scan the floor at an advanced rate. Her attributes make it very easy for her to counter on a dime plus she combats physicality with quick agility. Even being a smaller guard, she has shown many times that she’s not afraid to attack the giants of the paint. The ’27 guard makes it look easy adjusting to lane protectors and she crafts paths through traffic that allow her to quickly get shots off. Besides the offense, Arnold’s defense deserves some mentioning. Her blazing speeds make it tough for many guards to get comfortable. Chicago State has been the first to offer her, but the stately play from Taelor will garner her more attention.
