Given Denmark-Olar saw its former coach take his talents to 5A Division 2 Chapin prior to the start of the 2025-26 season, it was a fair question as to how the Vikings would fare. Denmark-Olar fared very well. Jerido, who played her first season at the varsity level as an eighth grader, made a noteworthy leap in her freshman campaign. She would play in 20 games for the Vikings and averaged 9.5 points and 1.8 steals. Denmark-Olar greatly benefitted throughout the season from Jerido’s stellar play. The Vikings finished with a 20-6 record, went a perfect 10-0 in its region and advanced to the 1A Lower State semifinals.
