Tallulah was one of the very best freshman I saw play in person this past season as I watched North Hall multiple times and came away more impressed with her than the last. She may be considered “undersized”, but players like Chit Chat Wright are making that narrative a thing of the past. I have seen her score over and around players over six feet tall on multiple occasion. She is also an elite passer off the bounce when defenders are forced to come from the weak side and help. Ball shot the ball extremely well from three point line each time I saw her play as well. That is probably her biggest strength, but Tallulah is not lacking in other areas. She has excellent ball handling ability and plays the game with a lot of confidence. She is a player I look forward to seeing again soon.

Ball picked right back up where she left off the last time I saw her. She is an elite shooter from both the midrange as well as three point range. Ball plays fast and uses her quickness well to push the ball out on the break and blowing by defenders and getting to the basket in the half court. Ball has very good ball handling as well, she is particularly good utilizing spin moves which she does regularly. Ball is very good on defense, in this game she jumped in the passing lane late, with the game still close, and was at the other end of the court laying the ball up before you could blink. Ball finished the game 24 points, making 6 of North Hall’s three point shots. How did this kid not make All Region?!?

Tallulah is a player I had heard a lot about, but had not seen myself before Friday. It’s nice when a player is better than advertised and that she was. Her reputation as a pass-first point guard was valid and she did a tremendous job distributing the ball to her teammates all over the court, but she is more than capable of putting the ball in the basket herself, making her one of the best guards in the ’29 class in Georgia. Ball scored driving left through the defense and scored off the glass over much taller defenders. She was able to score on the block by going under, not trying to go over, Frazier with a nice finger roll off the glass, and she shot the ball well from outside of the paint. Ball has a lot of upside and a very bright future.
