was brilliant in the semifinals and really shot the ball well and scored well. As a result she was a big part of the opponent’s game plan in the Finals. She was guarded by a McDonald’s All American and by one of the top athletes and players in the 2027 class. Davis showed a lot of poise and ability in the 2 games in Lakeland. She didn’t score 20 against Palm Bay, but she was competitive against

and company and took a lead into the 4th quarter with a 2nd straight State Championship on the line. Davis averaged double digits in the State tournament. She makes players around her better and draws the tough assignments. Her dishes inside, her ability to move and advance the ball, her ball handling in the press break, and her ball IQ make her a top prospect in any tournament. Davis can “make the case.”

picked up from last year’s State Championship and once again shot the ball very well. Davis had a a great stat line: 25 points, 4 three-pointers, and 12 rebounds. The talented guard was very efficient, going 8 for 14 from the field. Davis is a versatile player who can run the point, play the two, and even the three – depending on the personnel on the floor.

. Together, they are scoring machines, as they play in a similar style. Davis brings a sniper mentality to the game as a sharpshooter off the catch, capable of quickly lighting up the scoreboard. She has a dynamic game, where she can handle the ball, attack the rim, and play lockdown defense. Davis could easily be the leading scorer in this game

Ta’niya Davis was shooting the ball with authority this past weekend and was one of the best shooters in the building. Davis was also strong on the inside and made several shots through contact. She also impressed everyone on some of her passes with touch and good court vision. The Junior showed a lot of versatility playing on both sides of the court and playing the 1, 2, or the 3 position o tghe floor.

averaged 15.1 PPG, 3.1 assists per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 3.5 steals per game last season at her high school—essentially, Taniyah is an all-around player. Her versatility helped lead her team to a 5A state championship. The 5’9″ point guard has great vision, especially in transition, and her ability to shoot off the dribble in transition makes her a focal point for the defense. She can put points on the board every time she touches the ball, whether it’s by scoring herself or through an assist. Even off the ball, Taniyah is still a threat with her elite catch-and-shoot three-point ability, displaying a smooth shooting form.
Taniyah is also one of the best shot-blocking guards, using her long arms and great timing to block shots, disrupt passing lanes, and remain highly active on defense—making her a problem for opposing ball handlers. Taniyah is definitely Division I material, as evidenced by her multiple D1 offers. I foresee that she will truly hit her stride in her junior season and show everyone that she’s one of the top players in the state as she competes for back-to-back state championships.

Davis is a LIGHTS OUT three-point shooter. Her shot is fluid and the way she effortless shoots it means she has the potential to shoot the long ball from deep. Her versatility was on full display, as frequent ball screens were set when she caught the ball on the wings or the top of key. Davis made nice reads attacking gaps to get inside, or if enough room was given she shot the three ball. Only a sophomore, Davis has more time to sharpen an already lethal shot. Big name player.
