Taylor Barnaba
About Taylor
Expert Analysis
Lathan Sepeda | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Taylor Barnaba is the type of guard that sets the tone the moment she steps on the floor. At 5’4”, she plays bigger than her size with a strong handle, quick first step, and the ability to break down defenders off the bounce. She thrives in space, attacking gaps and putting constant pressure on the defense.
Barnaba shows true point guard instincts—she keeps her head up, makes smart reads, and understands how to control tempo. Whether it’s pushing in transition or settling things down in the half court, she plays with poise beyond her years.
She’s a competitor on both ends, bringing energy defensively while staying active in passing lanes and on-ball pressure. Offensively, she can create her own shot and contribute as a scorer when needed, but what stands out most is her ability to make others around her better.
With continued development, Barnaba has the tools to elevate into a high-impact floor general at the next level.
Stock Rising. Leader Mentality. Floor General Energy.

is a true point guard who excels at setting up her teammates. She’s a shifty ball handler and consistently beats her defender off the dribble. She can shoot the three and finish over bigger players inside. Barnaba is great at taking charges and makes it difficult for ball handlers to dribble in front of her. She led J.S. Clark to their first championship in school history.

So we will have a Louisiana Prep Girls Hoops player of the year for each graduating class named at the end of the season and Taylor will be a front runner for the 2026 class. The small but dynamite Pg from Js Clark high can flat out get it done. The lefty can beat you off the bounce with a shifty handle and a float game that’s unmatched. Being able to see her over the last few summers Taylor is always adding something new to her game lately I’ve been impressed with her ability to play at two different speeds she’s no longer going a 100 mph all the time. One of the better guards in a guard filled Alexandria area look for “Little T” to lead her Lady Bulldogs club to a deep playoff run!
