After earning a spot on our top performers list for the AAU State Tournament last weekend, Nesvig put up big numbers once again at Live at the Lakes, averaging 11 points per contest. The West Central United point guard got downhill early and often, showing off multiple finishes at the rim with either hand. Taylor also showed off her playmaking abilities by reading the defense effectively and finding seams in order to feed the ball to her teammates. On the defensive end, Nesvig was her typical self. She played with intensity on the perimeter, constantly hunting for steals and deflections. The Hancock freshman has also gotten significantly stronger in recent months, allowing her to better handle contact from opponents and defend with even more physicality than before.

Nesvig is a battle-tested 5’6 point guard whose game is oozing with confidence. She excels as a leader on the court, consistently plays with a high level of effort, and rarely shows any fear. On offense Taylor uses her explosive speed to get to the rim, drawing contact and earning trips to the free throw line along the way. The Hancock freshman, who has been on our radar for several years now, has grown into a skilled passer and playmaker. Nesvig is an active defender who outworks her opponents, forces turnovers, and generates stops. Few in class A will have a matchup for the Owls’ primary ball handler this season.

Ranked #38 in Minnesota’s Class of 2029, Nesvig has been on our radar since her 7th-grade debut at the Breakdown Tip Off Classic two years ago. The Hancock guard brings relentless energy, disruptive defense, and a never-quit motor to every game. A confident, varsity-tested competitor, she pressures ball-handlers, generates turnovers, and scores in multiple ways. Coaches rave about her leadership abilities and consistent effort level. She gets to the line often through sheer fearlessness and plays with emotion and purpose. Once she polishes her right hand a little more, Nesvig’s well-rounded game and unmatched drive will propel her to a new standard.
