Teagan turned in a gutsy performance against the eventual tournament Champs, pouring in nine points. She drained a triple, high-pointed an entry pass in the paint to score with her left-hand off two feet, and used a crossover dribble to beat her defender for a layup. On Sunday, Teagan added an exclamation point with 18 points in her final game. She deflected the ball off a driving player to cause a turnover, dished an accurate bounce pass for an assist, and chased down rebounds. Teagan attacked downhill, side-stepped a defender using a sweet high-pick-up move, and finished the layup off two feet. She made a great read on an inbounds play, catching the pass in the corner, faked a DHO, then drove down the baseline with long strides for another layup. Teagan’s length and mobility make her an effective defender around the basket and on the perimeter. She helped Wisconsin Academy
to a 4-1 record and had a great Victory Region Finals weekend.
Teagan had an eye-popping high school season, averaging 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 3.1 assists per game–now that’s an all-around impact! Teagan is a long 6-footer with Wisconsin 17U Academy who can create space with pocket dribble hesitation moves, finish with excellent footwork in the paint, and drain perimeter jumpers. She looks like a prospect from the Badger State who could draw a crowd at our Victory Region Finals.
I’ve been a massive fan of Schoenecker for some time and even predicted she’d be the Badger-Large Player of the Year before the season. Even Though it didn’t go to her, Schoenecker was one of the three unanimous all-conference selections and led the conference in scoring. Even though I wasn’t correct, I’ll pat myself on the back for picking a career 6.3 PPG scorer to win that award and getting close. The 6’0 wing can do anything. Schoenecker can attack off the dribble, make perimeter shots, initiate offense, defend inside and out, and make something out of nothing. Any scholarship program there should watch her if it fits their schedule.

is an excellent shooter who can score at all three levels. What stood out to me was how quickly she gets her shot off without hesitation. Her athleticism benefits her on both ends of the court, and she’s fundamentally sound in all aspects of her game. She also has a strong left-hand finish which is a notable skill for a right-hand dominant player. Schoenecker drives powerfully, makes sharp cuts, and has good hands. So far this season, she is averaging 20.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
As the years have gone by and Schonecker has grown into her frame, she’s gotten better. I first saw her as a 5’10ish rangey wing, and she’s grown into a 6’0 physical and athletic wing heading into her junior season at Oregon. The Badger-Large has been one of the most balanced conferences in the state, but Schonecker could be the breakout star for the Panthers this season and keep them at or near the top of the standings in February.
Everyone on Oregon’s 2023-24 team bought into what they wanted to do so much, and Schoenecker is one who bought into her sixth-person role and dominated in it. I felt like Schoenecker was the Panthers’ best source of creation off the dribble because of how powerful she’s been getting downhill, paired with her footwork around the rim. However, she was also one of the better shooters last season, making around 40% of her threes. I didn’t feel like anything she did last year was based on being on a winning team or a flukey season, like some kids have had because whenever they needed her in competitive games, she found a way to make plays. She’s another one who may not pick up as much traction this summer as others, but coaches will start loving what she does soon.
