As Dowling commences her senior season with 5A Byrnes, her recruitment is beginning to pick up. Recently, Limestone and Claflin offered the talented guard for the Rebels. Dowling once again led her Rebels to an impressive victory over 2A Clinton to get to the championship game of the Bob Dillon Tournament. She finished with 16 points. She can play the role of a point guard where she sets up her team’s offense in the half court, but is also accurate from long range ala many two guards. Dowling made a total of four 3-pointers in Monday’s game. The team as a whole made five from deep.

Dowling was able to finish drives to the basket with either hand here today. Te’Ericka connected on some perimeter bombs behind the three-point line. She plays the game from out top at a very good pace and understanding.
Dowling understands on when to attack or simply run the offense. Te’Ericka makes plays for herself along with making plays for her teammates.

Byrnes – Dowling has also set herself nicely as one of the cornerstones of the Rebels’ girls hoops program – both now and in the coming seasons. She played for FBC Carolina Elite Sykes on the grassroots circuit and the two AAU seasons she has left will surely draw the attention of many a college coach. On the defensive side, she stays active with her hands and can change directions with the ball in her hands. Dowling also maintains a high level of energy and activity even when the ball is not in her hands. She sets herself up to take a decent number of 3-point attempts and many of those tries will indeed find the sweet spot.

5A Byrnes saw two of its key players from last season – Savannah Porterfield and Emma Messer – graduate. This opens a strong possibility for Dowling in the coming seasons to establish herself as the leader of the Rebels for the next few seasons. Dowling participated in the grassroots realm with FBC Carolina Elite Sykes. She will sink her jump shots from 3-point range and sets herself up on a consistent basis to take said shots. She also stays active on the court even when the ball is not in her hands. Defensively, she stays active with those hands and can change directions when she does have the ball.

Te’Ericka brings good versatility to the backcourt and wing. Dowling can be a ball-handler, shot maker or just a great all-around teammate.
Te’Ericka plays the game to the fullest. Dowling can the ball at the rim or stop and pop from downtown in transition. She is certainly a 3-level scorer on the floor.
