2025 5A Red/Green All-Star
Gordon is an ‘old-school’ type of front-court player that happens to also be a double-double threat. For the 2024-25 season, the 6’1″ center and southpaw, set career-highs in almost every statistical category. In all, Gordon averaged 14.5 points — on 57 percent — with 11.4 rebounds per game, registering 11 double-doubles for the Alamogordo Tigers (5-22).
Moreover, Gordon is comfortable operating with her back to the basket and does a good job of using her size and length to shoot over smaller defenders.
For her career, Gordon has averaged 12.1 points — on 55 percent — with 9.7 rebounds, logging 15 double-doubles in 42 games played.

. The Alamogordo prospect was one of the leaders scorers from the weekend and a nightmare matchup on the defensive end for her opponents. So much of the Alamogordo offense ran through Gordon, which was impressive to watch on a possession-by-possession basis. Moreover, her conditioning considering how often her number was being called stood out as well. For a preseason event, Gordon looked more than ready for the output that was asked of her.

among the top prospects from the area. She showed why she is one of the region’s elite centers and brought her trademark physicality. Her touch was on point in Alamogordo’s opening game against Montwood and continued into the afternoon session against West Texas Prep. Her ability to duck in and seal opponents and gain prime low post position made her a mismatch all day. Moreover, the mismatch resulted in double teams which in turn opened up scoring opportunities for her teammates.

certainly has the attention of those watching in New Mexico. She’s coming off a junior season where she was just a shade under averaging a double-double and commands a presence down low on both sides of the court. At 6-1, she changes the geometry of the court and makes nothing easy for finishers at the rim. If she continues to round out the rest of her offensive game and touch around the rim, rival programs, and fellow Bigs are going to have a tough time containing her in 2024-25.

For the 2023-24 season, Gordon put up a steady 12.1 points per game, 9.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks for the Tigers in 25 games played. The 6’1″ Center shot 44 percent from the field overall and logged seven Double-Doubles, providing Alamogordo (15-14) with a scoring presence inside the paint area.
Teeya continues to improve her touch around the basket and has grown in terms of being able to recognize the double-team from the strong-side. Additionally, Gordon does a good job of rebounding from the weak-side, creating 2nd chance points and extra possessions.

Standing 6’1 with a solid frame, of course Gordon draws multiple defenders. But she has become accustomed to being doubled, so she has an array of tools to counter the defense. She uses her strength to seal defenders, and once she receives the ball on the low block she either pivots for an up and under or backs down opponents for an easy layup. She is a traditional back to the basket post player that are uncommon in the modern world of basketball today. Not to mention, she is a lefty!

Gordon kept battling and battling, wearing down the opposition in a pair of strong wins for her squad from New Mexico. That’s possibly what was more impressive about the strong forward, her perseverance. By the end of first contest, she had wore down and fouled out the opposition, while she looked as fresh as an automatic bucket around the rim on post ups and putbacks. Especially as she started with some misses around the rim, but she undeterred in her efforts to dominate the paint.

Gordon, is a 6’1″ lefty from Alamogordo. The junior was solid in pick’n’roll actions and had no problem playing ‘bully ball’ when operating down low. Teeya has good footwork, strong hands and flashed the ability to create from the high-post/elbow area.
