Tiara Herron
About Tiara
Expert Analysis
Brittany Magee | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Herron earned Region 2A Player of the Year honors after putting together a dynamic season as one of the most complete guards in Class 2. Averaging 18 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals per game, she impacts the game as both a scorer and high-level facilitator. Herron excels off the dribble, using her footwork, ball control, and creativity to split defenders, attack gaps, and finish through contact at the rim. She also shows the ability to score at all three levels while consistently creating opportunities for teammates with her vision and passing, especially in transition. With her energy, athleticism, and two-way production, Herron is a true playmaker who can control the pace and flow of the game.

5’5 but plays much bigger than her size! She has a good three point shot with a consistent midrange game. Good driving to the basket to get to her floater. A good and scrapy defender that competes at a high level “TT’ has led her team in scoring the past two seasons!

Herron had shown flashes of her defensive instincts and command in earlier outings, but “TT” put it all together in this contest, proving why she’s a legitimate next-level prospect. She disrupted passing lanes for easy buckets, found seams in the Wildcats’ rigid zone defense, and took over down the stretch—knocking down multiple clutch threes in the final minutes to keep the Justices alive.

was excellent for John Marshall in their run as the state runner-up. Her vision and control of the game were outstanding in the semifinal. Tiara shot the ball from three well, and although their loss to Central Wise in the final was uncompetitive, she kept the game interesting in the first half with her offense. Tiara is a complete offensive guard who I could see being a riser in a talented 2027 class.

Central Wise dominated a lot of this game, but one of the bright spots for John Marshall was

. Tiara had a handful of outstanding drives and had a great day shooting the three. Central Wise had a big lead most of the first half but a couple of big shots, one of them being a long three at the first-half buzzer from Tiara cut the lead to 8. She finished with 30 points.

play last summer for Team Loaded at the Chick-fil-A Invitational. She played way older than a player who had not even entered high school yet. Her court vision is great, and she has a nice handle. Tiara can score from all over the court and understands the game at a high level. She is great in transition and a good defender.

was one of the best guards on the day. She is a true PG, and I love what she can do. She blew by her initial defender a lot, and once she got into the paint, she could deliver some great passes. Tiara was fantastic in transition, and her handle, along with her passing, was what made her stand out all Saturday.
