Walker is one of the do-it-all athletes. She has a beautiful outside shot and she drilled in a pair of 3’s in the loss against Cocke County. Walker is a fundamentally sound athlete that plays any role that is asked of her!

Hard working kid whose stock is rising. She has a solid work ethic that has been put to use as she has gotten better over the course of the year. The 5’9 wing can fill it up from the corners or finish on the interior. She contributes on the boards, boxing out, going hard after the rebound. She runs the floor well and makes the right decisions with the ball. High IQ player who knows when to pick her spots to exploit. A solid scoring option who also gets after it on the defensive end. Look for her to have a breakout year and put up solid numbers this season.

She’s been surrounded by great talent at Knox Catholic, and she’s become very good herself at understanding how to play within this type of ecosystem. She’s great at moving without the basketball, and finding the “soft spots” where the defense isn’t. Her size and length make her hard to get contested shots against. She’s also learned how to use that length to become an high level defender. She’ll step into a larger role for this years team as they seek another state championship.

It’s not hard to break down Walker’s game. She is an athlete that is going to leave it all on the floor! Tinsley is a good rebounding guard. Pat Riley once said, “We measure areas of performance that are often ignored: jumping in pursuit of every rebound even if you don’t get it, swatting at every pass, diving for loose balls, letting someone smash into you in order to draw the foul…” Walker provides any team with the effort statistics and Tinsley’s effort will ultimately separate her from others.

She is shooting the cover off the ball and will do all the things that make you win. Solid defender and rebounder. Built up a lot of confidence with the way she closed the year. She will be a double digit scorer for us.
