It a small jump, but meaningful for a guard who checks the boxes regarding athleticism and size for the next level. She’s taken well to her new school and has helped Berryhill as a potential 4A State Tournament team. Downey regularly uses her natural tools to be a disruptive defender with steals and blocks. Also gets after it on the offensive glass. Shooting touch has become consistent in the mid-range and from three. Downey understands her skillset and plays with a good motor, which should make her valuable to college coaches.

Tall shooting guard that can change a game in a hurry with the 3-pointer. Last season Tycee was a consistent high post shooter that could also get to the rim off the dribble. The outside shooting development over the summer makes Tycee a legit shooting guard/small forward combo. Long frame and footwork in the post forces an opposing team to choose to do you guard her with a tall player or a small guard.
The transfer from Cleveland to Berryhill should open scoring opportunities as Berryhill is a more up-tempo-based offense. Keep an eye on this 2027 as her name could be popping up on coaches radars this seasonn.

Tycee coming off a successful summer circuit. The percentage of her outside shooting during the summer has shown she been putting in the work. A 2028 ranking riser that has transferred to Berryhill. The addition of Tycee makes Berryhill a team not to sleep on in 4a this season.

Next level height and athleticism are quickly apparent when watching Downey. Could be more impactful on the stat sheet, which would be the next step in her development. Had a good stretch in the second half, running the floor for score, scoring on a BLOB and a triple. Will be at a new school this winter, with grassroots teammate. Could be the catalyst to turn untapped potential into production.

giving Berryhill three guards that are outstanding shooters. It also does not hurt that Tycee is a long 6’0 combo guard that also has the skill set to play small forward if needed. Tycee is coming off a strong summer where I believe she became more of a scoring threat. Therefore she made my list of Stock Risers check out the article below.
The addition of Tycee makes Berryhill a much improved team as they bring back last years main scorers. They could be a hard match up with the size and ability to shoot many teams out of their zone defense.

A long combo guard/forward that I truly believe huge summer circuit this season that should increase her recruiting. Tycee can play the 2-4 positions on the floor as she is a high percentage 3-point shooter that you must locate. The athletic versatility she brings is when she is off the ball, scoring on backdoor cuts. Touch mid-range game that has a lot of lift releasing the ball at the highest point.
Noticing on her social media page that she will be playing next season at Berryhill. Berryhill will have 3 players over 6’0 that can shoot the 3.

An outstanding shooter at the small forward playing more like a big guard. Click on the article below discussing her performance in the 3-point competition. The thing I really like about Tycee game is her ability to get downhill off the dribble. Being such a good shooter the opposing team runs her off the line and I honestly believe that is where she is so dangerous. Great understanding of when the gap closes stopping on a dime hitting the pull up jumper. A good finisher at the rim with either hand avoiding the block. Against a zone she is the perfect fit at the high post. She can knock down the free throw jumper or put it on the floor splitting the gap getting to the bucket. A player who’s stock should continue to rise during summer play and school ball.

The 5’11 small forward was shooting as if she plays shooting guard. I have coached against this young lady and I can tell you on the scouting report was you need to know where Tycee was located on the floor. Got hot from the corner spot knocking down 5 in a row from that spot. Again, listed as a small forward but I have seen this young lady have to work for shots so more than a set shooter. She plays in a 4-guard offense in high school that relies on her shooting.

A key theme on this list of prospects who keep improving is motor and athleticism. Downey is a natural athlete, with a plus wingspan. Those traits make her disruptive on defense, which will be the first thing that stands out to college coaches. But she has also turned the corner this calendar year as a scorer. Her scoring touch has improved at all three levels. Active, fluid athletes like her, often find homes at the next level. And keep rising.
