Tynasjia Ford
About Tynasjia
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Ford does her best work around the paint preferably playing 2-4 feet away from the cup. She’s an above average passer at times while on the floor. Tynasjia will carve out space down low and really look to receive the ball while posting up.
She’s plays most effective closer to the basket. Ford will keep the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She will look to improve on her numbers this season with the departure of a few players from the program.

Ford has a great set of hands down low and a soft touch. I would like to see her be more aggressive at times when it comes to posting up down on the block with her back to the basket.
She can carve out space when needed along with being a good mover-screener on the floor. She has all the tools to get to the next level now it’s time to put them all together for the Lady Landsharks.

Ford and the rest of the 2A Landsharks will encounter a different schedule than they did in 2021-22 given Oceanside Collegiate Academy will drop down from the 3A class to the 2A ranks for this upcoming season. Ford presents an imposing paint presence and is a threat to score in the low post when she has the ball in her hands. She converts on many a high-percentage bucket opportunity in the paint and her rebounding make her a double-double threat on a game-by-game basis. She also helps her Landsharks team with defense and shot blocking. Her travel career includes a stint with Shots United.
