The type of aggressive and calculated edge that Valerie Campos Valerie Campos 5'7" | SG/PG Fremont | 2028 State NE competes with is something you love to see. Campos is a coordinated player with a lot of natural skill. She doesn’t just possess skill, she understands situational basketball and she knows how the X’s and O’s work along with being able to adapt in the blink of an eye. Offensively, Campos is a threat. She will beat you off the dribble, pass, or even to the bucket. If not, she can bring it back out and hit jumpers when she has a small window of time and space. There is a lot to like so far out of Campos moving halfway through her Sophomore season. If she keeps this up, she should follow things up with an AAU season to remember come next Spring but we will just have to wait and see.

Valerie Campos Valerie Campos 5'7" | SG/PG Fremont | 2028 State NE is the ideal lead guard for a coach. She takes care of the ball even when pressured. She has good vision and doesn’t hold on to the ball any longer than she has to.

Campos is a solid shooter who made timely buckets during the 5v5 games. She also got to the rim consistently and finished through contact.

Campos is a PG at 5’6 with impressive understanding out on the floor. She is a leader by example with the ball in her hands, always getting her teammates set up for success in any way possible. Campos was one of the best game leaders that we had the chance to see at this event. She controlled pace of play, tempo of her team, while being consistent through and through. If you are a coach who is looking for someone to lead your program at the next level one day, this might be a valid option depending on the situation.
