She has had Garnered offers and interest from conferences like the Big South, MAAC and the Patriot League! A top 20 player in the state and is a great D-1 prospect!

Does good job handling the ball under pressure with her good size she can easily survey the floor to find her open teammates over smaller defenders. Good perimeter player always ready to make a play either driving to the basket and is a high level three point shooter with deep range!

VaNyah Otey VaNyah Otey 5'10" | CG TPLS Christian Academy | 2026 State VA had a rough day 3 shooting-wise, but in TPLS’s first two games, her shot was unstoppable. VaNyah is a combo guard with good size and one of the best shooters in the state. She shot 8/17 in TPLS’s first two games and even with her struggling in the next two, she ended up shooting a respectable 35.7% on 28 shots.

She also put up 27 points with 7 three pointers versus nationally ranked Winston Salem Christian! She shot 16 for 33 from three point land and averaged 25 points per game in the 3 game stretch!

Was a shooting guard primarily, now she has added on to her game and become a true combo guard at 5’10! Va’Nyah range extends to the college three point line! Elite movement without the ball she can cut on a dime for a backdoor lay up. A player that has all the tools only a freshman who just picked up her first offer and who is a can’t miss D1 prospect!

VaNyah Otey VaNyah Otey 5'10" | CG TPLS Christian Academy | 2026 State VA shot the ball at a high level all day. She has a good length, so she got her shots off over closing defenders with no problem. Her shot looks great, and her ability to shoot comfortably at her height is fantastic.

VaNyah Otey VaNyah Otey 5'10" | CG TPLS Christian Academy | 2026 State VA was the player I was the most interested in seeing coming into the day. VaNyah didn’t have the greatest day finishing around the rim, but her ability to handle the ball that well at around 6’0 is huge. She is also a phenomenal spot-up shooter and made a bunch on the day. She rebounded well, too, and was one of the better players on the day.
