The basketball Wisdom of Kent contributed mightily to a strong finish on Saturday for FBC ‘ last=’Dynasty Elite’] 17U. Following an earlier loss to Premier Girls Basketball 17U, Kent helped get her team in the win column with a 38-31 overtime victory over THB United 17U. An opposing team has to game plan for if Kent has the ball from either the midrange or the long range. Kent understands that having stellar handles with either her right or her left hand will go a long way in preserving offensive possessions for her team. Kent was part of a 4A Dalton Catamounts team that finished with a record of 26-4.

The versatility lefty gave Dalton 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in a loss to Murray County. Wisdom’s strong frame allows her to play multiple spots on the floor as a combo-forward with a wing skill set. Kent is typically a steady outside shooter that can space the floor. On Saturday, she used her physicality to finish inside the arc, dropping in a baseline floater for her best hoop of the day.

Wisdom was knocking down the 3-ball all weekend in her home state. The lefty has a really pure stroke from deep and put points up in a hurry with that shooting ability. On the defensive side, she was active and played hard which led to some steals and points for her team. I really liked her game as she looked comfortable playing up in age.

Lefty shoots the ball very well from both the mid-range and three-point line. Can get downhill and finish with a soft touch. Capable of playing multiple positions, 2-4. Has a strong frame which helps her defensively, both when guarding larger players and when collecting rebounds.
