Blackmon encountered foul trouble throughout the second half and eventually did foul out of Tuesday’s game. She still managed to help her team by virtue of eight points. Blackmon stands at 5-foot-7 and can be placed in a team’s starting five either playing point or operating at the two. Attacking the basket and finishing strong is among the many strong areas of her game. There will be occasions where that skill will result in her drawing contact and taking her chances at the free throw line. Blackmon is one of four from the class of 2027 on this season’s Atlantic Collegiate roster.

Blackmon’s final AAU event of the 2025 grassroots campaign occurred during the mid-July live period when her One Force 16U BSTL team took part at the USJN invite in Dayton. The combo guard from 2A Atlantic Collegiate can be accurate with the 3-point shot. Blackmon’s defense can also confuse many opposing ball carriers leaving them turnover-prone. She knows how to reach for the ball at exactly the right times to get said ball carriers to cough up the rock and those miscues can even become a Blackmon transition basket. Blackmon was a major reason why the Armada took a massive leap last season en route to a 2A tournament berth in only the school’s second year of existence.

Zaniya made the move up from #65 to #38 in this latest update of Stock-Risers. She helped the Armada get to the 3rd round of the SCHSL Class 2A Playoffs before falling to eventual state champion Andrew Jackson.
Zaniya was the primary ball-handler for the Armada this season and Head Coach William Zatulskis. She will look to penetrate-kick into the lane and find the open teammate along the way. Zaniya plays the game as a physical guard who doesn’t mind absorbing contact along the way.
She averaged 10.1 ppg this past season for the Armada.

With 2A Atlantic Collegiate becoming a full-fledged member of the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) beginning this season, expect more eyes – both locally in the Myrtle Beach-Horry County area and statewide – to be on Blackmon. A hallmark of what she does is her 3-point shooting capabilities. Rebounding is another element to her skillset and she also makes things difficult for opposing teams with hard defense. All in all, a stellar showing in Florence for the Confidence Cougars AAU product and former 5A Socastee standout. The return of Blackmon should ensure the Armada make improvement from last season where the team only notched one win over a South Carolina opponent (Lake City).
