Trinity has been seen as a playoff-built team since the beginning, and so far this season theyve shown that. At the top of their lockdown defender list is Goins. This kid is beyond disciplined and focused on the defensive end, and it’s her body control, foot speed, and strength that allow her to bring frustration to guards.

Goins has had a major jump in her game over the past two years, and it is shown on both sides of the ball.. however, she seems to love the defensive side of the ball, which is rare these days, especially as a guard. She plays defense with both her IQ and feet, and lastly, the strength she has makes for a tough game for ball handlers. There aren’t many guards that can get past her on just one move alone, and she knows how to cause issues without getting in foul trouble. Offensively, she can get it going at all three levels.. with consistency. Major upside.

An aggressive guard who has no problem being the main focal point on the offensive end. Goins has the energy, the motor, and the reltnelssness to impact the game in a multitude of ways even if scoring isn’t needed. A player who can for sure cause issues on the defensive end as well.

Easily one of the more aggressive and consistent players in this class, and a player who has shown an impressive amount of growth over the past couple of years, I don’t see her slowing down anytime soon. She can be effective on the offensive side of the ball if she’s attacking the rim, and defensively, she’s active and not afraid to take the challenge. Big fan of what she brings to the court.

A kid who is still growing into her skillset could be more of problem for the opponent then most people think. Knowing that she’s still on the up, this should give Goins the mindset to leave it all out there. Shes tough, she’s athletic and she doesn’t seem to get tired. A torn of heart and no quit.
