Smith had a great season that had her lead The Hawks to the 1A State Play-In where they fell short of advancing. Smith was tremendous on both sides of the ball. She had multiple points+steals double doubles throughout the season including one of her top performances against the Hayden Lobos where she finished with 22 points and 13 steals. On the season Smith averaged 11.2 points, 1.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 6 steals per game. She was voted on to the 1A South All Region First Team.

Zena Smith Zena Smith 5'7" | SG/PG The Gregory | 2027 State AZ is another multi-sport athlete that is just now tapping into her potential as a basketball player. I see her as a Shooting Guard in that she is a good spot up shooter, and can play multiple positions. She is a solid ball handler and passer, and she is a very good defender. What also stood out to me is her poise and calmness in pressure situations. She will go down as one of the top players to come out of The Gregory School.

Zena Smith Zena Smith 5'7" | SG/PG The Gregory | 2027 State AZ is an excellent Combo Guard that is flying underneath the radar right now in the 2027 class. She is an excellent multi sport athlete that is thriving both in sports and in the classroom. She is a very good shooting guard and has excellent ball handling skills. She makes very good decisions with the ball in her hands and she thrives in pressure situations. She is definitely a college prospect and her development over the next year and a half will be critical in her evaluation process.

Zena Smith Zena Smith 5'7" | SG/PG The Gregory | 2027 State AZ is a tremendous multi-sport athlete who is a great communicator and lock-down defender. She averaged 9.5 points per game, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals as a freshman last season. She played over seas this last summer in the World Games for Team USA, and the experience has really helped her overall game and has her prepared for a breakout season in 2024/25.
