Zoe Wittler Zoe Wittler 5'6" | CG Frederick | 2025 State CO has become a household name this season, leading Frederick to a top-10 ranking in 5A. She’s averaging 14 points, two assists, four rebounds, and three steals per game, showing her all-around impact. Defensively, she’s relentless despite being a smaller guard, getting deflections and forcing opponents into tough situations. With Zoe leading the way, Frederick is a team to watch come early March.

There’s no other way to put it – Zoe is an absolute pit-bull on the defensive end of the floor. She is aggressive, physical, and in no way, shape, or form afraid of contact. An underrated skill on defense is communication, but this is an area of strength for Zoe. Whether it be letting her team know to change defenses, calling out screens, or simply showing her grittiness on each and every possession, Wittler is the unquestioned head of the defensive snake for Frederick. She is a consistent leader that displays integrity both with her voice and her dependable nature on the court. When Zoe is healthy Frederick is at least a top 10 team and this year don’t be surprised if they push into that top 5 or higher. After taking several visits earlier this fall, Zoe committed to play next year at (D2) South Western Oklahoma State.

Zoe is a fearless combo guard that plays an extremely physical brand of basketball. She is a warrior on the court and a leader in every sense of the word. Zoe goes hard to the offensive glass, doesn’t miss an opportunity to be “first to the floor”, and defends the other team’s best guard. She can get hot from the three-point line and uses an effective floater to throw off would-be shot blockers. Zoe is great in the locker room and goes extremely hard every time her sneakers hit the floor. Zoe holds offers from Marian College, North Central University, and South Western Oklahoma State.

Wittler knocked down timely shots along the perimeter, a capable shooter off the dribble or catch. Tasked with a large amount of ball handling responsibilities for this BC Denver Trujillo group, the guard was equally active getting them set up in the halfcourt.

The confident shotmaker led Frederick fairly deep into this year’s 5A playoff race. Tasked with plenty of responsibility setting up the offense and contributing buckets, Wittler will be a huge benefit to have this summer. She cannot be forgotten in the passing lanes either, a quick decision maker when getting out for steals and transition layups.

Wittler excelled all game, proving to be a threat from all areas of the floor. The lead guard was tasked with facilitating for others or attacking the rim off the bounce. Excelling in her short floaters, they made shots through incoming contests multiple opportunities. There was little opposing guards could do to slow her down from getting downhill. When provided space, Wittler knocked down shots behind the arc, off the catch in particular. Her help defense was alert, quick to swarm a ball handler who picked up their dribble.

An effective perimeter shooter, Wittler has begun progressing as a quick trigger shotmaker, setting her feet quickly to get the shot off versus incoming contests. She will be a capable complementary shotmaker, dynamic on or off-ball. Her growing usage facilitating for teammates in transition and the halfcourt will be intriguing, more than comfortable making quick decisions.
