Rengstorf is a tough, competitive point guard who played in 26 varsity games last year as an 8th grader, averaging 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Not bad for a yougster who is expected to carry the mail for Nicollet for the next four seasons. Quick laterally, Zoie showed at the Freshman Showcase that she can be an on-ball pest who manufactures turnovers and stays in front of her matchup. She handles the ball with confidence, organizes effectively an offense, and thrives in catch-and-shoot spots. Limited in size but not in effect, Rengstorf’s IQ, defense, and leadership make her a floor general of note.
