Maryland Rankings Preview:
2019 Class
There was very little question that Jakia Brown-Turner would start off as the top player in the 2019 class. She was the consensus choice of every coach spoken to. The 2019 class is loaded and there are several players gunning for the NC State commits spot around the region and even one on her high school team that’s very close behind.
2020 Class
Looking at the top 5 of the 2020 class, the rankings could be interchangeable. Angel Reese’s body of work over the last year, however, has put her in a league of her own. She will be leaned on a lot more this season after the graduation of the senior class. How well she handles her new role will determine how long she stays at the top.
2021 Class
The 2021 class has Azzi Fudd and everyone else. There was no question on whether Azzi would be #1 in the class in Maryland/DC the debate is she #1 overall regardless of class nationally.
2022 Class
The freshmen need to get a few games under their belts to lock in their spots for the mid December rankings. Right now KiKi Rice and Yonta Vaughn are making a strong case for the spot. Stay tuned to see how things pan out.
Virginia Rankings Preview:
2019 Class
The rankings are set to be released next week but, a spoiler alert the top player is Samantha Brunelle. This one was really close and will be a hot debate as the season goes on.
2020/2021 Class
We will keep this one under wraps until next week as well as the 2021 as there has been some interesting reshuffling over the last few days.
