“Junior season was a lot of fun! Making it to State was such an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. I am looking forward to working to get back there again next year!”
Lindsey is one of many future college basketball players at Benet, which is a big reason why they are likely to make another long playoff run next season. The 6’1” Guard/Forward has a very well-rounded game that allows her to make a difference in several ways.
Playing AAU this season with The Truth Black 17U team, Lindsey says “This season is going great! It is a lot of fun to play with some of my closest friends since elementary and middle school!” Like her high school team, The Truth Black 17U squad is loaded with elite players and plays in some of the biggest tournaments in the country.
Lindsey’s height and strength help with her physicality on defense and take on contact when driving in the lane. When asked what she saw as her strengths right now, she said “I think that my strengths are my abilities to shoot, pass, run in transition, and read the floor.”
With a smooth lefty shot, she is known to catch fire from three.
In terms of what she is looking to improve on this AAU season, Lindsey mentions “Definitely strength, agility, and speed. I am working on becoming consistent all the time, and I am working on continuing to strengthen my motor. I am focusing a bit more on defense right now because offense is my strength. My goal is to become the best all-around player that I can possibly be!”
While her size does allow her to compete down low and guard post players, her quickness lets her successfully defend players out on the wing.
What is going on in recruiting?
“Recruiting is going well! I have offers from Northern Illinois University, Colgate University, and Detroit-Mercer. I also have interest from William and Mary, Valpo, Loyola-Maryland, NJIT, Liberty, DePaul, and Dayton.”
Obviously by looking at that offer sheet, you can get an idea of how talented of a player Lindsey is. With a few tournaments left this summer and a solid schedule her Senior year, she will get more chances to show coaches that she can hold her own against some of the top players in the area.
