After a full season of high school basketball and a couple of months of travel basketball, they are no longer a secret on the court, they are ready to shine.
These are just some of the 2022 sophs who could catch your eye in June.
2022
Haley Crozier Haley Crozier 5'6" | CG Springboro | 2022 OH , 5-7 Springboro- this kid is always in the gym getting better. Good active hands on defense creating turnovers. Moves well and gets to her spot, can shoot the three consistently. Anticipates on defense, forces her opponent into a mistake and can push the ball in transition. Can slash and score, good midrange shot. Keeps getting better.
Madelyn Fearon Madelyn Fearon 5'6" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH , 5-6 Arcanum- she had a strong freshman year, and just came off the first half of travel season with the Cincinnati Angels. This is who you want on the perimeter if you need a big shot. Moves well, can get a shot off at anytime. Very good handles, scores off the bounce or set up on the arc. Madelyn penetrates baseline and hit the midrange shot, or finish at the rim.
Claire Henson Claire Henson 5'11" | PF Valley View | 2022 State OH , 5-9 Valley View- very athletic and skilled, and can play a variety of positions. Hard to defend with her solid handles, can pull up and shoot a 3 or attack off the dribble. Can get physical inside, can get off the floor and rebound. Great in transition, either scoring at the rim, or making the pass.
Kendall Knisely, 5-8 Bellbrook- high expectations this year for Kendall. Super quick point guiard, excellent competitor and both ends of the court. Excellent court vision and great at getting to the basket.
Malerie Ross, 6-1 Brookville- had a nice freshman year with some ups and down, but has the potential to really have a nice season this coming winter. Long athletic shot blocker, rebounds well. High energy player that has a defensive knack for the ball. She is a true rim protector.
