The Dayton area has four summer leagues that will spotlight several of the top teams in the area, with some of the states top rated teams residing at each event.
In the northern Miami Valley, there are two summer leagues that will begin this Monday and Tuesday, and last for each of the four weeks in the month of June.
At Troy High School, 16 teams will be suiting up and showcasing their skills highlighted by Cross County Conference power Franklin Monroe leading the way. All-Ohio senior Corina Conley Corina Conley 6'0" | C Franklin Monroe High School | 2020 State OH will be looking to have the best season of her career trying to lead the Jets to the top of the CCC this season.
They will be one of four teams from that league involved in the league, joining Miami East, Bethel and Bradford who will play each Monday evening. Mechanicsburg will be a solid Division 4 team this season led by senior Kasey Schipfer, and Troy Christian will also be one of the top Division 4 teams in the area.
Among the Miami Valley League teams in the Troy League will be the host Trojans, Butler, Piqua and Sidney, while Cincinnati Northwest, Chaminade Julienne, Lehman and Miami Valley round out the teams in this event.
Also this summer on Tuesday nights, nine schools and ten teams will come together at Fort Loramie for a very talented summer league.
Three of Ohio’s best Division Four teams from the Miami Valley will be a part of the summer league at Fort Loramie, as the Redskins, Minster and Tri Village all return all-state players and will be a part of this league on Tuesday nights. Fort Loramie returns everyone from their regional runner-up team, while Minster returns the guard duo of Janae Hoying and Ivy Wolf Ivy Wolf 5'8" | PG Minster | 2021 State OH and Tri Village returns four starters including Maddie and Meghan Downing Meghan Downing 6'2" | C Tri Village | 2022 State OH and Lissa Siler.
They will be joined by Division 3 power Versailles, along with New Knoxville, Coldwater, Covington, Houston and Botkins.
