Centrulla is a standout for the Cincy Swish AAU club, and wraps up a short series of players who saw their stock rise during the live recruiting period as she competed at the Clash in Cincinnati.
Grace Centrulla is a stretch post player with a 7 foot wingspan allowing her to be incredibly disruptive on the defensive end. Played as a guard until she was a freshman so she handles the ball and shoots it well from the outside.
She shot 52% from the floor and 42% from 3 last season for defending Ohio D1 champion Mount Notre Dame. She’s a mismatch problem because she has a great back to the basket game and can also space the floor with her ability to shoot it from the outside. Academically, she is a 4.0/National Honors Society student.
Had a great showing at the Clash, leading the Swish in scoring in 2 of their games and gained the attention from coaches at multiple levels by her ability to knock down shots from the outside, handle the basketball on the perimeter, and be a true rim protector inside. Coaches were also very impressed with her decision making, as her above average vision and passing ability lead to kickouts to open shooters when defenses collapsed or points in the paint when she had an isolated matchup. A great compliment to any team.
As of right now, Grace has not yet decided on her college major, as she in between business or biology (with the focus on dietary).
“I am working on my pull up midrange pullup and increasing my range out to the 3 this summer,” she said. “I play a lot of post in high school.”
Grace is in the Class of 2020.
