The chance for these kids to showcase their skills for several Division 2, 3, NAIA and JC coaches was there, and some of them took advantage of that.
Rachel Guthrie (Strick Hoops)- If you need a big shot, this kid can produce for you. Can light it up from the perimeter, and can really score in many different ways. Excellent ball handling skills, and she really understands the game. Impressive upside for this kid.
Abigail Garner (Hoop Guru)- one of the best set of hands I saw in the tournament, very slick with the ball. Can shoot the three well from the point guard spot, and can also step over and play the off-guard spot just as well. The future is bright for this player, as she progresses in her game.
Megan Taraba (Hoop Guru)- does an excellent job in the paint, can seal and post well, and can take the ball to the rim. Very strong player, moves well without the ball. High ceiling for her also as she makes her way through high school.
Jada Ward (Reality Sports)- very tough and talented and strong and skilled. She also plays football, tough as they come. Only 5-foot-5 but gets the job done. Jada (pictured above) penetrates well with her physical play, can finish and get to the line. Excellent handles, good court vision and has calm demeanor. Good on-ball defender.
Hailey Unger (Team Ohio)- her game has skyrocketed all summer, as I have seen her a handful of times. Excellent perimeter shooter, not afraid to match up with anyone. Can score on the drive, and will finish.
