Annabel Rodriguez (Chippewa) – Rodriguez is a long combo-guard who scores the basketball at a high rate. She is a dead-eye jump shooter who improves every time that she steps onto the court. She will contribute for Chippewa this year – fresh off of a state Final 4 trip – so she is going to have to grow up quickly. She loves the game of basketball and has the body to grab half of a dozen rebounds each game from her perimeter position.
Sydney Polen (Loudonville) – Sydney is a super-athlete who is a very good basketball player for her age, but is not elite yet – as she needs to become more skilled. Her quickness and speed on the basketball court is top-notch, making her dynamic in transition and a major threat on the defensive end of the court. Polen possesses good court vision and is a more-than willing passer.
Quinlan Pifher (Olentangy Liberty) – Quin will probably start this year as “Teegan’s sister” to most, but if she continues on the upward projection that she is on – she will have no problem creating an outstanding legacy of her own – one similar to that of the D1 kind that Teegan has made. The long forward is outstanding around the basket, but also has a nice touch to her face-up game. She is a good rebounder and can block a handful of shots on any given night.
Rylee Bennett (Akron Manchester) – Bennett is a long wing with strength and toughness that you would see in a kid who is much older. She is at her best in transition, where she drives to the rim hard and has no problem finishes through contact. She is a good rebounder who can also take smaller defenders down on the block and finish with some basic post moves. Rylee has a very high ceiling, especially if she can grow a few more inches.
Kendal Shiarla (Chippewa) – Kendal is a prospect who is a probably a “tweener” right now, but as she gets older and her body and frame mature more, it is easy to see how Kendal is going to be a big-time player. She is a long-armed athlete who rebounds and defends very well. She can post-up with a nice toolbox of moves, get to the rim and finish in a variety of creative ways and even step out and shoot the 3-ball if she is open.
