Various different aspects that go in to the game of basketball. On the basic of terms, basketball normally has total position or it can be summarized into two, guards and post. For most, a guard is a player that plays outside of the lane and more on the perimeter. On the other hand, post is usually understood as the 3 or 4 player ranging from Center to Forwards. In this article, we have came across various post through the summer that should have eyes on them for those looking, but with good reason. Most inside players are few and far between. Here's a non-inclusive list of some post player to watch this summer or doing the school year!
<strong>Amber Guy, Class of 2021, Post, OK PWP 16U, Carl Albert HS</strong>
Expanding her game outside of the paint, many other post in genral have trouble with her high mobility, allowing her to get by defenders with ease. Handles the ball well and has high IQ within the paint.
<strong>Haylee Webber, Class of 2019, 6'4, Post, OK Swarm, OKC Storm</strong>
Her height alone disrupts many on both ends of the floor, does well with the short corner jumper on the offensive end. On the other end, she interupts opponents movement due to long length.
<strong>Trinity Jackson, Class of 2020, 6’2, Post,OK Federal Ballerz, Jenks HS</strong>
One of the best sealers in the state of Oklahoma with a very solid body frame to add to her ability to seal well. Strong and aggressive on defensive end and secures rebounds properly.
<strong>Lauren Morris, Class of 2021, 6’0, Post, 3T-OK, Vici HS </strong>
Undersized post that moves well in the paint and gets position fairly easy. Plays a good role on the tean to hello facilitate the ball, great passer on passing out to the most open person from the low and mid-post.
