Battle at the Hive 2027 Standouts (Forwards)

Yet physical enough to post up a defender on the block. Does an excellent job at getting her feet turned when post up to create a catch and go up on the block. Excellent cutter off the ball that has great hands for the catch and shoot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense is long on the premier but a fierce shot blocker in the paint area. Solid footwork in the post area doing much of the work early before catching the ball. A much improve mid-range game has made this physical forward a possible match up issue. The forward showed an outside jumper that was much respected.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense she is long and quick playing the top of the press in a 1-2-2 set. Creates deflections and steals for her team when the trap is set in dead man corner. Smooth footwork on the up and under move. Takes her time in reading what the defense gives her, never seemed rush on her moves. Mid-range jumpers along with attacking the rim from the high post wore out any zone defense. Listed again as a power forward Ava showed the outside jumper from 3-point area to demand respect. Possible matchup for opposing teams as she can post up a small guard or take a larger defender off the dribble.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Solid defender on the inside as she can bang among the Big's Long and quick enough to defend that 3 guard on the outsider. Excellent rebounder on both ends. A true physical inside player that fills the lanes on break showing her quickness for a center. Good hands that catch any pass thrown in her area. Scored points this past weekend by cleaning up miss shots with offensive putbacks. A must box out player on the offensive glass. Showed nice 10–15-foot mid-range shot against zone defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong physical defender that held down the block when the offensive player posted up. Shot blocking or just alternating the shot made if difficult for offensive players to get clean looks on drives.
