<span style="font-weight: 400;">7 Players to watch</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Girls Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2021 class</span>
<strong>Austin Broadie, 6’0, C/F, Wichita Trinity Academy</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">An impressive forward who plays both ends of the floor at a high level. she has a nose for the ball and is great at securing rebounds well being surrounded. She is a great passer in full-court situations and can kick-off fast-break looks two teammates running the lane ahead of her. She ate can connect from a distance and use her frame to find space inside.</span>
<strong>Clara Edwards, 6’0, C, 2021, Clay Center</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Edwards is a nice defender and a good player with the ball in her hands. she looks to rebound on both ends of the floor and is a good passer and finisher. She can use her height to her advantage and is quick to react when she has the ball in the paint. She is extremely motivated inside and play hard whenever she's on the floor.</span>
<strong>Jordyn Beard, 6’1, C, 2021, Hugoton</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Another center with great size and the ability to play in and out of the paint. She rebounds well and can put up shots around the glass in a few feet outside the paint. She is relentless on the defensive side and can block shots and create problems with mismatches. She seals off her opponents and scores well with either hand and can connect from the free throw line.</span>
<strong>MeKenzie Hefley, 6’2, C, 2021, Hutchinson</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">player with great height and a lot of strength. She can score well and knows how to play her position and contest shots and roll the dice on offense. She has a good collection of post moves and uses head fakes and ball fakes and hesitation to her advantage. She rebounds well and knows how to finish place quickly before defenses collapse on her.</span>
<strong>Kayla Morris, 5’10, F, 2021, Sterling</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Morris is a good player on Defense who plays aggressive and looks to contest shots. She can also contribute on the offensive end and runs the floor well and is good at cleaning up plays around the basket as she is a good score around the glass and is a strong rebounder.</span>
