In addition to serving as the home of the Wild Turkey Festival, Ridgetop Music Festival and Vinton County Air Show, Vinton County is home to McArthur Vinton County High School. At less than 15,000 residents, it is the least populated county in the state of Ohio. Vinton County High School has had some outstanding girls basketball teams over the years and this winter should be no different, as VCHS returns some outstanding players.
Let’s take a look at a number of talented underclassmen from Vinton County.

Bentley is a big and strong kid in the point-forward mold. She has outstanding vision and creates some great scoring opportunities for her teammates. She has a very quick release and her strength allows her to shoot comfortably and consistently from well behind the 3-point line. She should score well over 1000 points in her career if she remains healthy.
Josie Ousley – 5’1 Guard – Vinton County – Class of 2020
Ousley is a combo-guard – who is small in stature. She is probably best-suited off of the ball as a set shooter. She is great from 3-point land and her ability to stretch the floor is a huge reason for Vinton County’s success during her career. Josie is feisty defensively – getting a number of steals and deflections throughout the course of a game.
Cameron Zinn – 5’11 Forward – Vinton County – Class of 2022
Zinn is a long athlete with a lot of skill for her size and age. She is a very intriguing college prospect. Already a serious double-double threat after her freshman season, Cameron is a game-changer in so many ways. She blocks and alters shots, grabs a number of rebounds and steals passes at a high rate – in addition to her offensive exploits.
Tegan Bartoe – 5’8 Guard – Vinton County – Class of 2022
At nearly 15 points per game, Tegan was one of the highest scoring freshmen in the state of Ohio last winter. The off-guard can get to the rim and she also uses a solid mid-range game, in addition to an outstanding perimeter-based game. When she breaks down defenses, she is more than capable of distributing the ball to open teammates.
