Only one team finished above .500 last year, as Ben Logan ended the season 14-9. The overall record for everyone in the division was 48-89. Teams are looking to make an improvement and there are some good players to make that happen this year.
Ben Logan
The Raiders have won five consecutive Mad River Division championships, and looks to go after number six. Senior Savannah Pavoni (pictured above) will lead the way for Ben Logan, as the returning leading scorer for the Raiders will look to keep the Raiders on top. She will be joined by sophomore Lynzee Cronkleton, a 5-5 guard who had a solid freshman season last year. Another senior is 5-5 guard Peyton Derr, who started a handful of games last year and hopes to increase her production this year.
Graham
Katelyn Nash returns for the Falcons, as the senior averaged 16 ppg. last season. She dropped a season-high 28 in a loss to North Union, and was consistent last season for Graham. Junior Lexi King also returns as the 5-10 forward averaged just under nine points per game last year. Look for Graham to be improved this season with those two a year older. 6-footer Arial Cupps is back as a junior, who started all last season as a freshman. Another player with experience back is 5-9 junior Abby Henkle.
Indian Lake
The Lakers are pushing for the top of the league and dethroning Ben Logan this season. They have their top eight players back and a freshman who will open a lot of eyes in the conference. Kristen Young is the top returning scorer, and the senior is joined by classmate Kaylee Shelton. Also back is Kyleigh Huffer, Bethany Golliday, Cheyenne Hill, Kaitlyn Boberg, Kayli Barlow and Haley Talbot. Add into the mix freshman Allison Kinney and they are tuned for a nice season.
North Union
The returning Player of the Year in the league Journey Blevins returns to lead the way. Maddie Amstutz is a senior who at 5-4 hopes to be a strong guard in their offense again this year. 5-11 senior Sydney Bacon also returns with Alyssa Guy, Kenna Ruhl, and Jordyn Hoffman who had some nice games toward the end of the season.
Northwestern
Losing their top three offensive player to graduation, the Warriors are looking for some players who will step up their games. Jenna Cleland is a returning senior who played all 22 games, while they also have seniors Mattie Steiner, Stephanie White and Emma Crew.
Urbana
Samantha Rooney returns as the key offensive player for the Hillclimbers as Urbana tries to get back to the winning ways. Other returning players with experience includes junior Shelby Stoops, sophomore Maleah Murphy, sophomore Marah Donahue and junior Kacie Martin.
