Whether it was shooting the deep ball or using the euro step to create the space these girls have it in the bag. Without surprise, the following girls in my opinion will put up big numbers for there high school teams and this is why.
Jariyah Burnett (Freshman) of Taft High School will look to make a splash right away for Taft. She is very unique in creating openings to either get to the rim or shoot a sweet jumper. Although, still wet behind the ears and still learning to read defenders she do tend to force the issue. But on the flip side she somehow feeds off of her own rebounds when motivated. Burnett can do a bit of everything and overwhelmed defenders with her down hill scoring attack.
Willow White (Senior) of Princeton High School has a true ability to score. Watching her shooting form , you can just tell the ball is going in. An higher arc with plenty of rotation the sharp shooter lit the rim on fire. I was very impressed on how she kept here dribble short and moved well without the ball. Very dynamic in transition, and ran the floor with purpose to get to her sweet spot. She didn’t fall in love with the 3 ball late and showed an arsenal of tools to create space.
Aniyah Brown (Senior) of Walnut Hills High School carried her team all night long. Known in the city for her fierce defense, the veteran guard added some scoring tools to her game. Surprisingly, very shifty with the ball she got to the bucket at will. With her wide frame (shoulders) she could be a bully in the post and had a soft touch from the 3. She supplied her team with points when they needed. Very Impressed with her array of ways to score. Very Good motor as she was always bouncy.
Tamira Scott (Junior) of Hughes High School knows how to play basketball. Scott was an competitor and fun to watch. She was very good with the ball in her hands and rarely turned the ball over. Odd shooting form at times, good from mid-range and had one of the cleanest head fakes around. Changed her speeds well and that allowed her to have her way. Very complete guard with an high ceiling.
