The excitement continues to build leading up to October 25, the first day of basketball practice in Ohio. While several teams look to pursue their dreams of making it to Columbus, several players are expected to shine on area courts around the Buckeye state.
Here is a look at a few more of the 2021 players who saw their stock rise since the initial rankings back in the spring.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32564" first="Jocelyn" last="Tate"] (Pickerington Central)- </strong>a proven winner, Jocelyn is a kid who can play all over the floor. Plays bigger than she is, able to defend the score against a bigger post player. Long and athletic, Tate can also put the ball on the floor, get to the rim and score. Excellent basketball IQ and floor leader. High intensity player.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32575" first="Emma" last="Hess"] (Legacy Christian)- </strong>another long guard who can play any position on the floor. Good court presence and demeanor. Able to handle the ball like a guard, defend a guard and score from the perimeter, or she can slide down low and rebound and cause problems for a post. Good range, solid handles and a good north-to-south player in transition. Emma<span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong> </strong></span>has multiple D1 offers so far.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32580" first="Anna" last="Landing"] (Beavercreek)- </strong>Anna is a kid who looks to should see her stock go higher this year, along with her production. Plays in a system that gets everyone involved and at 6-foot-1, she can contribute inside or outside. Shot nearly 60 threes last year for a very good 41% clip. Defends either a post or guard, she is an aggressive player who will outwork everyone on the floor. Great attitude and quality kid.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91074" first="Danielle" last="Vuletich"] (Western Reserve)- </strong>a long, multi-talented player who can step out and score or play back to the basket. Danielle needs to consistently develop a midrange shot off a face-up position. She keeps the ball up and utilized her length. Great timing on her shot blocking, and has great work ethic. If she develops a face-up game with a two-foot finish, she will be very difficult to defend.
