At 5’11, Juresiute can play either the 2, 3 or 4 and can post up, score in the paint or shoot from the outside. She can play on the wing, but also has moves to score inside when she goes one-on-one on the block.
Juresiute spent the offseason playing for Evan McCorry and Next Level Eclipse and says the experience helped prepare her for the upcoming season.
“My summer this year was one of the best and I’m really happy that I got to play with the Next Level Eclipse team,” she says. “It was really fun to play all the teams and get to travel around the states a little bit too. I got to play against really good teams, strong teams. I learned a lot during this summer and I got a lot of experience from it.
“All summer I was just working on my game, shooting, weight room, skills, everything.”
Juresiute says the biggest influence on her basketball career has been her parents.
“They always support me no matter what, and without them I wouldn’t even be here in the states,” she said. “They always keep pushing me forward if things are not going the right way. The fact that they let me come to the states alone shows me a lot of how much they want me to succeed.”
A fan of basketball at all levels, Juresiute says it doesn’t matter who is playing she will watch and try to take little things away from the competitors.
“It doesn’t matter who I watch as long as it’s basketball, but maybe one of the most interesting basketball is college basketball,” she says. “I try to implement what they do great in my game and sometimes I do it well, sometimes I still need to work on stuff.”
Juresiute says she has drawn interest from Baker University, Benedictine College, Hesston and Cowley County.
