5 Players to Watch in Scioto County

With the season upon us, here are 5 players to watch in Scioto County. All five players are potential “Next Level” players.
<span style="font-size: 1rem;">2021 </span><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">Kaylee Darnell</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;">, 5’7”, G, Wheelersburg HS is one of the top scorers in the area and does it at all three levels. Very good at getting to the spot she wants and finishing.</span> <span style="font-size: 1rem;">Good jumping ability allows her to score over defenders Solid defender, sees the floor well.</span>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">2021 <strong>Ava Hassel,</strong> 5’5”, PG, Portsmouth ND. Quick with the ball. Gets out in transition and can get to the rim or hit the 3. Sees the floor well and good passer.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Defends 94 feet</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="font-size: 1rem;">2022 <strong>Alaina Keeney,</strong> 5’9”, W, Wheelersburg HS. Smart, Heady player that makes the right play. Can knock down the three or finish in the lane.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">2022 <strong>Bri Claxon,</strong> 5’6”, G, South Webster, high motor player. A scorer who will attack the lane. Knows how to gets shots she wants.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Pushes the ball well and looks to get to the rim in transition. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">2023 <strong>Alexia Deaver</strong>, 5’5”, G, Portsmouth West. Nice frame for her size, aggressive offensively and has a nice basketball IQ. Gets to the foul line a lot.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Quick off the dribble, which allows her to get by those defenders. </span></p>
