In the most recent news, three girls that are being targeted by Pacific Northwest schools are moving along with the recruitment process. We also have one commitment that has recently taken place.
Two NW schools checking in on a top 2021:
Haley Huard attracted a good amount of college attention after this Spring and Summer and multiple schools have made her a priority this Winter as well. The University of Idaho is targeting the 6’1 junior and will be in to watch her play for Eastlake this Friday. Idaho recruits the state of Washington very well and it has helped them turn Idaho into one of the top programs in the Big Sky. Idaho has already picked up a commitment from Huard’s teammate from this summer, 2021 Ashlyn Wallace. Huard attended Idaho’s junior day in the Fall along with Wallace and MJ Bruno of Central Valley High School (More on her below). Washington State University will also be watching Huard this Friday. Both of Haley’s parents were standouts at the University of Washington with Brock Huard in football and Molly (Hills) Huard in basketball.
Pac-12 visits top 2022:
As I previously reported, Oregon State University went and saw Drea Brumfield at WF West High School yesterday. Just the night before, a staff member was present for Talia von Oelhoffen‘s game at Chiawana High School. Oregon State does a solid job of recruiting some of the better players the PNW has to offer. Drea has multiple Pac-12 schools in touch with her.
Portland Picks up 2021 Commitment:
Central Valley High School’s MJ Bruno had a strong summer with the Spokane Stars and had the interest of multiple schools before deciding Portland was where she would like to play her college ball. Bruno is an energy giver and really competes at a high level. She is the third player from the GSL to commit to Portland, following 2020’s Tyler and Jacksen McCliment-Call at University High School. *MJ Bruno third from left in featured image
